INTRODUCTION
OUR HISTORY & FOUNDER
Our founder, Tim Martin, started in the industry as an equipment operator at just 13 years old. Tim grew up in Burns Lake, moved to Prince George, and became a journeyman welder. It all began in 1974. Tim worked for TimerJack Inc. as a heavy-duty mechanic, which lead to his role as the company's service manager. From there on, he started his own seven-year service truck business for logging contractors. After starting his business, he worked for a dealership and developed a Korean manufacturing company for the BC marketplace in construction and forestry.
Tim then worked directly for the Korean manufacturing company, Hyundai Construction Equipment, from Chicago, Illinois, as their Sales & Service Representative. He covered all of Canada, Northwest Territories, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Northern, and Northern California. Tim's covering of these territories proved successful, so he spent additional time in Korea, Florida, and other requested locations. After working in the manufacturing aspect of the business, Tim was approached by a close friend who wanted help in creating a major Swedish manufacturing household name within Prince George and British Columbia for 15 years.
Throughout his journey in the equipment business industry, Tim has developed strong personal and business relationships and has sold and serviced equipment to the fathers of the sons that he still deals with today. Tim has always done business based on honesty and integrity; he speaks with a guarantee and finishes with a handshake.
