Introduction to Artic Machinery
Tim Martin started in the industry as an equipment operator at 13 years old. Grew up in Burns Lake and moved to Prince George and became a journeyman welder. Was a heavy duty mechanic for TimberJack Inc in the late 70s. Became the service manager for TimberJack. From there he started his own service truck business for 7 years, for logging contractors. Worked for a dealership and developed a Korean manufacturing company for the BC marketplace in construction and forestry.
After this, Tim worked directly for the Korean manufacturing company, Hyundai Construction Equipment out of Chicago Illinois to be their Sales and Service Rep to cover all of Canada, Northwest Territories, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Northern California, and because of my success with them also spent time in Korea, Florida, and where ever else they wanted me to be. After working in the manufacturing aspect of the business Tim was approached by a close friend to help make a major Swedish equipment manufacturer a household name within Prince George and BC for 15 years.
Tim has developed personal relationships since he started in the equipment business in 1974 with Timberjack Forestry Equipment and sold and serviced equipment to the fathers of the sons that he still deals with today. Tim has always done business based on honesty, integrity, personal word, and a handshake.
